Transforming Performance Anxiety Into Performance Success
Presentation by Dr. Patrick Gannon of a three hour workshop for singers, students of singing and teachers of singing, sponsored by the San Francisco Chapter of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS).
Sunday, November 14, 2010 from 2 pm to 5 pm.
Held at Salle Piano Co. 1632C Market St. (near Haight) in San Francisco
This presentation will describe an exciting new treatment for performance anxiety which has been shown to affect up to 80% of all singers. Based on the latest research on brain science, neuroplasticity and brain-derived neurotrophic factors, this new approach will go beyond the standard psychological performance skills taught for the last forty years to draw upon a range of new techniques that are powerfully effective in reducing performance anxiety AND installing mental scripts that optimize peak performance. These new techniques will be demonstrated at the workshop and singers can learn to use them immediately.
Registration through SFBACNATS.org or through Salle Piano or at the door on November 14.
